"we are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. we always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body." -2 corinthians 4:8-10
this past weekend, ricky and i flew out to california to stay with my sister and see the motocross race in pala. on saturday morning, we drove out to pala and spent the day at the race. i had been to supercross races before, but never MX - it was a whole different experience!
welcome to the world of MX...
we were very excited to find bleachers where we could sit and enjoy the racing all day.
there were some awesome duels going on!
i even got to see the women's MX race. go girls!
the track was ridiculous. i would have been terrified just walking around up there!
the next few days included exploring san diego/la jolla and spending time with lauren. it was so great to be back in my favorite place on the west coast. on sunday night, ricky and i got to attend lauren's show, "milk like sugar," and it was great! i am so proud of my sister and all the hard work she puts into all of her shows - they dont know how blessed they are to have her in their program. we also played lots of tennis, went to the best restaurants in town (multiple times), and of course visited the gorgeous beaches.
i took a few pictures on my phone when i didnt have my camera with me, mostly when we ate food. (restaurants not seen in pictures: rubio's, pizza on pearl, rubio's, and more pizza on pearl)
who knows what this picture means.
here are a few pictures from one of our trips to the beach in la jolla.
love this guy.
me and sees! miss you so.
and then we had a ricky photo shoot...
how many places can ricky flip? its like the new planking.
seriously, this place is so so beautiful.
so thankful for another amazing trip to california. sadly i will not be back until lauren's graduation in march, but i look forward to reuniting with her again on the east coast over Christmas! until then, i guess ill just have to keep looking at these pictures. :) love you sees!! counting down the days till i see you again!
