“children too are a gift from the Lord, the fruit of the womb, a reward.” – psalm 127:3
yesterday was brooks' birthday and i had the opportunity to spend the day with him. dont worry, i brought my camera! i hope you enjoy all of these as much as i enjoyed taking them!
first, a photo shoot in some of his new birthday outfits.
when asked how old he was, he said "two" and tried to make the number with his fingers. it took a few tries...
and apparently opening your mouth helps.
so close, buddy.
cheese!
here's outfit #2. when asked to give the bear a hug, he gladly played along...
and then he was done with the bear.
brooks can also play the guitar, but it seems that he does better when he wiggles his tongue while strumming.
outfit #3 and BUBBLES!
that was a BIG bubble!
after the photo shoot, mom and i took brooks to the park to meet up with the chrismons. tricia brought a picnic and we all enjoyed some lunch before going on the rides.
then it was time for the choo choo train! here are max, brooks and abbie kate waiting for the train.
brooks especially loved the tunnel - woo woo!
next was the carousel. brooks spent most of his time on the horse concentrating very hard on something, possibly staying awake slash not falling off.
at the end, he clapped for the carousel. YAY carousel!
and then immediately, "get down walk???" how do you resist this face?
then we went to the boats - brooks and max were the only ones small enough to ride, so we all watched from the side.
the last stop of the day was at the cars. brooks picked the jeep and told max to hop in the back! beep beep!
once we saw this face, we knew it was nap time for the birthday boy.
what a fun day at the park! im so glad i got to spend your big day with you brooksy and i cant wait to see you again so soon!
