clinic day 3

"declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all people." -Psalm 96:3

wednesday, august 4th: day 3 at the clinic

when we arrived at the clinic, it was busy as always. this time, however, there was an even longer line of people waiting outside the compound! all the seats were filled and many people were standing behind the seats. as i found out later in the day, everyone saw a ton of patients. my dad told me that he had actually given away about 100 parasite pills already in just three days! he said that he usually doesn't see more than about 75 patients per week at home, but in three days he had surpassed that amount! and not only did he see many patients for their physical problems, but he and jamie campbell (his assistant for that day) saw at least 10 people that accepted Christ! what an awesome example of God's work in this place.

that morning, i took some time to photograph the children. taylor moser was doing a great job as always - the kids absolutely loved her!

this little girl colored a picture of Jesus on the cross.

after visiting the children, i wandered around the rest of the clinic to see what everyone was up to. cody was busy cleaning dental appliances.

steve vaughn was caring for an entire family in triage.

here is chris linscome with his beautiful translator, eu alferez.

dad was helping a lady deal with leg pain.

eric secrist was taking care of babies. jaja

here is marce and caleb:

back in the eye glass clinic, everyone was hard at work. i let pablo borrow my camera for a little while and he captured some pretty interesting moments.

somewhere around lunch time, everyone got a little crazy. heres some evidence:

good thing i brought XS.

so we took our lunch breaks upstairs. todays menu item: TACOS! dad was excited.

another crucial part about todays lunch was THE date. here is cody with yancy, the girl who was in love with him - literally. but only because she thought he looked like zac efron.

for dessert, we were all given jello. cody decided to eat three jellos - whole. yancy said, and i quote "i love the way he eats like a pig."

careful. dont get sick.

after lunch, pablo took off with my camera again. it wasn't until i saw this little gem of a picture that i decided i needed to get it back. here is cody with the volcano:

at the end of the day, there was a church service held at the clinic. it was a beautiful service of worship music and some awesome testimonies and scripture.

after the service, we got back on the bus and went to the hotel. for dinner we had filet mignon wrapped in bacon with rice and vegetables. but ... wait for it... the best part was dessert: pistachio ice cream!! and guess what? the man serving us our food let me have two portions! YAY!
