bigger in TX

"for God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline." -2 timothy 1:7

this past weekend, i was in dallas, TX for my second supercross racing experience. i was so excited when i found out that ricky was going to be racing inside the new cowboy stadium! it was ginormous - one man even told us that you could fit the entire statue of liberty inside of it, standing up. crazy!

for most of saturday morning, we hung out in the pits with the team.

when it was time for their practices, we headed inside the stadium.

please note the ridiculously over-sized screen that was above our heads. it was hard to decide whether to watch it in front of you or up in the air.

here are some of the photos i took of ricky throughout the day:

that night, we watched from up above - what an awesome view!

oh and did i mention that the ceiling of the stadium opened up? amazing.

the next day, we went to the rangers vs. red sox game. it was an absolutely gorgeous day - sunny and warm, but nice and windy to keep cool.

and everyone and their mom came out to see the opening weekend of baseball!

here is josh hamilton - i got to meet his dad! almost the same?

ricky got some ice cream in a really cool hat cup - this took me back to when we ate ice cream out of hat cups at the orioles games and it made me really happy.

after i was completely burnt in all the most awkward farmer-tan type places on my body, we decided to take a walk around the stadium. here is the view from the very top, overlooking the cowboys stadium across the way.

and a view of the entire rangers stadium - i think my favorite part about baseball fields is how they mow the lawns to make such perfect checkered designs.

overall, it was an amazing weekend filled with so many fun memories! i love supercross and i love baseball - how can you go wrong with both in TX?
