i spent the past week at the beach and i managed to take pictures only once during the whole trip. but i guess if i had picked any day, this was a definite highlight of the week. one morning we woke up at 5:30am and took a boat ride to a deserted island off the coast of NC.
it was an absolutely beautiful morning and i was very excited to explore the island (roxie was pretty much in heaven)!
and then the sun began to rise...
it was awesome watching it progress and seeing the reflections of the clouds in the water.
on the island there was a deserted house. it was all locked up, but still very cool to look at, and of course take pictures of/with.

i was definitely missing my other half during this photo shoot.
how cool is it that we could still see the moon on the opposite side of the sky?
what a gorgeous morning!
thank you Lord for an amazing sunrise and yet another reminder of how big you are.
