david & katie curtis

"love is patient, love is kind. it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. it does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." -1 corinthians 13:4-7

on may 7, 2011, david curtis and katie walters were married.

when i arrived at the church that morning, katie was already getting her hair and makeup done by my awesome roomie, stacie snipes. everyone was getting ready for the big day!

even aubrey was practicing her walk down the aisle!

katie's shoes had a sixpence inside for good luck

and here was her something blue...

soon it was time to put on THE dress!

the bridesmaids got their dresses on too, and then there was a little photo op time while we waited for the ceremony to begin.

thank you stacie for your amazing hair/makeup talent!! you made everyone look so beautiful!

here is katie with each of her bridesmaids: first, the maid of honor, lindsey walters.

after the ceremony, we all met in the sanctuary for pictures. brooks was dressed in his matching suit and looking as cute as ever.

here is my awesome boyfriend who was by himself and/or with random family members he had never met pretty much the entire day - that's what you call dedication.

once outside, i snagged a few pictures of brooksy. he was just too handsome to resist.

please notice the smile on his face in this one.

here are my amazing parents - looking pretty great, right?

the reception that night was held at the alamance country club in burlington - the entire ballroom was decorated beautifully.

the cake, which we decided was vanilla with lemon, maybe? was DE-licious.

here's a few pictures of the scenery and people i spent time with throughout the rest of the night:

later it was time for the best man/maid of honor to give their toasts.

then they cut the cake... and smooshed it into each other's faces.

and then there was dancing!

the entire wedding weekend was awesome - i had so much fun spending time with katie and her bridesmaids and also loved catching up with relatives and friends i hadn't seen in forever.

congratulations david and katie curtis! im so happy for you both and can't wait to see all the plans God has for your lives! love you so much!
