on thursday, july 1st, mom and i were scheduled to get lasik surgery - YAY! that morning, we babysat the little man for a couple hours. it was the first time i had seen brooks in over a month and i realized that he is no longer a baby anymore. its crazy how fast he has grown!
that afternoon, we headed to raleigh to travers lasik. we had our meds in hand and were ready to go!
it was only a matter of hours before we would be able to see without glasses or contacts ever again!!
thankfully, they sent us home with these really cool sunglasses.
we spent the rest of the day/night/next morning in bed, sleeping hardcore. the next day, however, was momma's birthday!! and we celebrated accordingly (family, food and lots of fun). in fact, weve dedicated this entire weekend to her. since our wonderful neighbors, tricia and richard johnson, brought us some yummy tomatoes from their garden, we decided to have BLTs for lunch!
