independence day.
yesterday morning, lauren and dad headed out to play tennis at the park for a couple hours. i decided to follow them along and take pictures - probably not surprising to anyone. lauren will most likely not be very happy with these first two pictures, but they made me happy when i was looking back over them. she was very intense about getting ready for tennis - new visor and all!

mom and chris got their new droid cell phones and spent a large part of the day playing with their new toys.
i decided to make a fruit cookie cake and decorate it 4th of july-style. (note: this is a big deal that i made something all by myself)
i was very proud of my final presentation.
later in the afternoon, the lewii, david sapp, and tyler ross joined us for card games and hanging out. brooks and meredith also showed up, and brooks decided to join us in our card game.
ps this is my new favorite candy. PRETZEL M&Ms. soooooo wonderful
and then the annual 4th of july photo shoot began. we generally just struggle at this.
exciting news: brooks is almost walking all by himself!
yay for FREEDOM. and yay for family and friends and the 4th of july!
