juengelness

"honor your father and mother, as the Lord your God commanded you. then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you." -Deuteronomy 5:16

dad had the day off from work yesterday and so we spent the entire day together as a family - it was a wonderful juengel bonding experience. the morning began with a walk that turned out to be about 4 miles long, including a stop at raygo so that dad could get a mountain dew slushie. he literally consumed at least a gallon of mountain dew slushie this past weekend. here we are at the end of our walk!

for lunch, dad cut up some of his (and my) favorite fruit: WATERMELON. mmmm

then for dinner he grilled some chicken and mom cooked a lovely meal for the entire family (plus some lewii).

this is the yummy bbq sauce mom used to flavor the chicken.

brooks is learning to grill at an early age. such a manly bonding moment.

i absolutely love spending time with my family and close friends! especially when theres a free home-cooked meal involved.

for dessert, we celebrated the last of mom's birthday weekend with homemade red velvet cupcakes. they were delicious!

make a wish!
