the perfect Christmas tree

"God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us." -Ephesians 3:20

last weekend, my mom and dad and i went on the search for the perfect Christmas tree. this is absolutely one of my favorite experiences of the Christmas season. i feel that it is my duty to search every tree lot in burlington, NC until i find the perfect size and shape - big, fat, and full of branches.

after many stops, we finally arrived at scott's Christmas tree lot. scott - you win.

there were so many trees to choose from!

but i quickly found the best one of them all.

dad and mom also approved.

kisses for dad under the mistletoe! (ok its not really mistletoe, but he obviously didnt mind)

the guy who was helping us took our tree and shook it out on a shaking machine - this made the branches fall and the tree immediately looked much more full. then he wrapped it up and put it in the truck (not sure why we shake it out and then bundle it back up, but i didnt ask questions).

once we got home, i proceeded with the cutting ceremony...



and then dad helped us position the tree just perfectly for display.

thankfully, seester was able to skype through the entire experience.

later that night, VA came over to help put lights on! we had Christmas music playing in the background and it was wonderful.

YAY for the perfect Christmas tree! cant wait for seester and everyone to see it in real life and for the entire Juengel clan to be together again so soon!!
